Crispy Nut Granola With Coconut Flavor
This energy and nutrition dense granola tastes amazing for breakfast or as a snack!
Ingredients
400 grams nuts and seeds of your choice (almond, cashew, pumpkin, ..., )
100 grams coconut chips
5 tablespoons coconut oil
4 tablespoons maple syrup
1 pinch of sea salt
1 pinch of bourbon vanilla powder
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 160 °C
Chop the nut and seed mixture coarsely (I use a food processor)
Mix with the coconut chips in a bowl.
Heat the coconut oil until it is liquid and then mix with the maple syrup, sea salt and vanilla powder.
Mix the liquid with the nut mixture so that the whole mixture is well moistened.
Spread the mass evenly on the baking sheet and press flat.
Bake for 15-17 minutes (I open the oven door halftime to allow the humid to escape).
Take out the baking sheet when the granola is lightly browned.
Let it cool down completely in room temperature (so the granola will become dry and crispy
Break the granola plate into pieces and store in a cool, dry place in a large, airtight jar.
Enjoy!
