Birth preparation tea - recipe

The time of pregnancy is a very special phase in your life. While your body prepares for the upcoming birth, you can support it in a natural way. One way to do this is with birth preparation tea, a herbal mixture that is specially tailored to the needs of expectant mothers. The tea is recommended from the 35th week of pregnancy.

The ingredients of the birth preparation tea and the effect on the body

30 g lady's mantle:

Supports the hormonal situation during pregnancy and gently prepares your body for birth.

30 g raspberry leaves:

Help to loosen the pelvic floor, which can be beneficial for an easier birth.

30 g St. John's wort:

Known for its nerve-strengthening effect, St. John's wort can help you relax and deal with the challenges of pregnancy.

30 g lemon balm leaves:

The calming effect of lemon balm can help reduce stress and tension, which can be particularly beneficial in the period before birth.

25 g yarrow:

Supports blood clotting and thus contributes to general health during pregnancy.

25 g horsetail:

Stimulates kidney excretion and helps your body get rid of excess fluids, which in turn can relieve swelling and discomfort.

25 g nettle:

Rich in iron, nettle supports iron absorption and thus helps prevent iron deficiency during pregnancy.

10 g cinnamon bark:

Not only gives the tea a pleasant aroma, but can also promote blood circulation and boost metabolism.

Preparation and use:

Have the above herbs put together in the amounts indicated at the pharmacy. To prepare the birth preparation tea, use a tablespoon of the tea mixture and pour 250 ml of boiling water over it. Let the tea steep for about seven minutes.

It is recommended that you drink two to three cups of this tea daily from week 35 of pregnancy, slowly throughout the day. This way you can make the most of the positive effects of the herbs and at the same time give yourself a little time out to prepare for the upcoming birth.
